We needed something that would work well on a solid wood floor and still transition to carpet. This is a great vacuum & worth the cost!! It is lightweight and very easy to use. It turns so easily and does not get caught on furniture. The attachments allow a person to clean anything--it has worked very well on upholstery also.The way the attachments are completely contained & close at hand is a big plus.Even though it is not a heavy appliance, the suction is better than a heavier vacuum I own.
